When you place an order on staples.com, we'll send you an email confirmation to let you know when it's been shipped and is headed on its way to you.
To get order status alerts sent to your phone, sign up for Staples order status alerts. To sign up, access your user profile via staples.com, scroll down to the "Choose When and How You Receive Updates About Your Orders" section, and click "Edit" next to "mobile number." In the pop-up window, enter your mobile number and click "Subscribe." You will receive a text message from Staples 555-444 to which you can reply "Yes" to sign up for order status notifications via text. To check the delivery status of your order, visit the Order Status page on staples.com and type in your order number and zip code. You can also log into staples.com, click on "Track Order" in the top right corner of the page and select the appropriate order for tracking information. We cannot determine exact delivery time, but we can tell you if your order has been shipped, and whether any problems with it have been reported to us.
Note: An extra day may be added onto delivery for staples.com orders that have been paid for in a Staples retail store at the register, due to order processing in the store.

If you've already placed an order with us, we may be able to reschedule your order for a different delivery day that's more convenient for you. Please chat with us or call us as soon as possible at 800-333-3330 to speak with a member of our customer service team. However, if you would like the driver to leave your products (e.g., on the front steps), please fill out the Driver Release Agreement. The driver must take the note as proof of authorization. If you don't post a Driver Release Agreement, the driver will decide whether or not to leave the order unattended.
If the delivery cannot be made, your order will be returned to the local delivery center and another attempt will be made.

While Staples does not deliver products directly from the store, we provide fast and free delivery when you order at the in-store kiosk, when you order on the phone or when you place an order of $49.99 or more (excluding Oversize Items). The order is shipped pending credit approval and product availability. You will be advised of the expected date of delivery at the time you place your order.

Yes you can. From the product page, click on the "Pick Up Today" button. (Note: Not every item sold in Staples stores and on staples.com is available for Pick Up in Store.) If you are not already logged in to staples.com, enter your zip code to find the nearest store where the item is available for pickup. Using the drop-down menu, select the quantity you wish to pickup next to the store, then Pick Up in Store Today. (If an item is unavailable or stock is low, it will be marked as such and you will not be able to order. Stock levels vary by store.)
During the checkout process, your order will be sent to the store you selected. After a store associate has picked your item(s), you will receive a "Ready for Pick Up" email letting you know when your order is ready to be picked up. (Online items will be ready for pickup within one hour of the store receiving your request. If the order is submitted within one hour of the store’s closing time, your items will be available within one hour of the store’s opening time on the next day.) Store hours may vary. A Mail Drop location is an address where a business or service accepts mail deliveries on behalf of a customer. Staples will deliver to Mail Drop locations such as a UPS ® store (formerly Mail Boxes Etc.). However, Staples is unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes, prisons or APO/FPO addresses, which are military overseas mail drops.

This is a policy from American Express that must be adhered to both by Staples and American Express customers. It is done to protect you from fraudulent use of your credit card account. It is in your best interest to call American Express and notify them of your other delivery address so your order can be authorized and shipped to you as quickly as possible.
If you do not call AMEX to notify them that you are using a different shipping address for an order, your order may be delayed. Our Credit Department will place the order on hold and call the billing contact for the AMEX card. If the billing contact person cannot be reached to verify the order, your order may be delayed.
